I spent a lot of time over the years trying to find the “perfect title” to describe who I am. I mean, I had many interests, though disconnected from one another, and skills in a wide variety of fields. That was not a simple task; in fact, it was impossible. One minute you’re a “homemaker”, the next a “waitress”, and then a “graphic designer” and then an “editor”. Growing up, the culture implied that a person’s occupation defined who they were. This once-common understanding has expanded considerably. What we “do” is only a small part of the equation of who we are.
